Supportive Care At Home

Are you a senior and looking for assistance?  Do you have a senior parent that needs help at home?   If so, you may need professional home care services.  Home care allows a person to stay at home while getting assistance with activities of daily living and household tasks.   It is supportive care provided in the home.

Home care agencies render a range of companionship, supervision and personal care services in the comfort and convenience of a person's own home making it possible for them to remain living at home rather than move to a facility. In-home care from a professional agency is appropriate whenever a person prefers to stay at home but needs ongoing care that cannot easily or effectively be provided solely by family and friends. More and more people, electing to live independent, non-institutionalized lives, are receiving in-home care services through an agency, as their physical and cognitive capabilities diminish. In-home care from an agency makes that possible.

While home care is most commonly introduced as a service to assist aging seniors, it is also a valuable resource when an individual of any age has had an injury, accident or surgery or is suffering from a chronic illness. It may include hospice care for people that are terminally ill.  Home care may include rehabilitative therapies for those recovering from surgery or illness.   It might be for people who are getting older, are chronically ill, recovering from surgery, or disabled.
